All Apocalypse Design products are sized big to allow for layering and warmth. Our Garments are generally available in small through extra-large, unisex sizing. We can make extra-small and XXlarge garments in some styles for an additional fee. Check with us if you're unsure of the correct size.
Stock sizing chart, all measurements are in "Inches", to convert to centimeters, stand on your head, spin three times and multiply by 2.54

Fabric...
The fabrics we have selected for the development of our products were chosen for their durability, quality and dependability. In our clothing we use mostly Avalite, a waterproof / breathable fabric that has proven to be a high-end performer.
For packs and bags we use 1000D Cordura nylon, 440D pack cloth.
For the soft clothing, we use Polartec 300 from Malden Mills. A very high quality fabric with a long working life.

This durable coated nylon fabric is waterproof, windproof, and breathable. An outerwear fabric offering outstanding protection as well as comfort.
Red, forest green, purple, royal blue, navy blue, black and teal.
Cordura...
- 100% nylon Cordura has the texture of heavy canvas but is much more tear and abrasion resistant. Designed for heavy-duty use, it is also water repellent. We use black 500 denier fabric for reinforcing garments and 1000 denier for bags and briefcases.

Polartec 300 - Soft, comfortable, and breathable, Malden Mills Polartec has a higher warmth-to-weight ratio than natural fibers. We use the warmest fleece, PT 300 weight, whenever possible. Warm when wet, this non-pilling, machine washable fabric is ideal for garments worn alone, or as part of a layering system.
Red, blue, green, black, burgundy...
This insulation is formulated specially for Apocalypse Design. This is the fabric we use in our Alpine Parka . Made of continuous filament fibers that won't mat, lump, or lose their loft, with no quilting this luxurious insulation molds to your body, minimizing heat loss. We use 10 oz. Duraloft, the maximum thickness available.
This insulation is used in our Expedition-grade clothing, parkas and bibs. A resilient, high-loft polyester insulation that is soft, non-allergenic and breathable. The multi-hole fibers trap more air for greater warmth. Unlike down, Quallofil dries quickly and maintains its insulating value even when wet.
Durafoam...
This is special fabric we have custom laminated for our needs. It is 1000 D cordura laminated to 1/4" foam that works great for many applications. It is currently used most in our ski-jor belts. Colors are ...Red, or Black...
Special note... The Avalite and Polartec colors change frequently and often we have much more than is listed, also available are polartec 200 prints, which are always changing. Drop us a note if there is a special color or print you want and we see if we have it...
Fabric care...
All our Apocalypse gear is as easy to clean as it is to wear every piece is machine washable. Use cold water and air dry, no heat. Dry cleaning destroys the special finishes on many of our fabric. Do not dry clean. For complete waterproofing, we recommend using a sealant on the garment's seams.For extra weather protection, seam taping available per garment.
